Biography
Kouji Itou has done his PhD from The Univiersity of Tokyo in 1986. Currently he is working as Professor in Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science at Tokushima University. His research interests are Molecular Biology, Molecular Pathology, Molecular Therapy, Glycobiology, Analysis of pathogenesis of genetic diseases and development of their therapy, Development of medicinal resources based on glycotechnology and stem cell technology. Several Papers of his work were published in reputed international journals. He is also the member of The Japanese Biochemical Society, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan, The Japanese Society of Carbohydrate Research, Japanese Society for Inherited Metabolic Diseases, Society for Neuroscience, The Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine, The Molecular Biology Society of Japan.
