Biography
H.E. Adil Kareem has been the Deputy Minister of Industry since 2004. Prior to this role, H.E. Kareem was Founder of Kurdistan Investment board as Minister. He was born in Halibja in the province of Sulymania in1960 and graduated from University of Technology in Baghdad. His Excellency held the position of Deputy Minister in Kurdistan from 1999 until 2004, and managed electricity in both Sulymania and then the whole of Kurdistan for two years. His Excellency has extensive experience and expertise in industrial development and has held various occupations; he has worked in charge of chemical equipment in Bigi fertilizer plants for three years and has also worked in private sector for 3 years. Member of Arab fertilizer Producers Union in Egypt and a member of Arab Industrial Development and Mining association in Morocco; Head of Petrochemicals and Fertilizer committee and Head of Nebras JMC. He is a member of Arab Medical Industries ACDIMA, Vice Chairman of lraq (Indian Cooperation Committee), and Chairman of lraqi (Indonesian Committee). He was also a supervisor of lraqi Industrial Investment abroad and a Chairman of lraqi Reconstruction committee for industrial companies.
