Biography
The Board of Directors of Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company decided in its meeting on 7/3/2010 to appoint Eng. Abdul Karim Alaween as the CEO of the Company as of March 8, 2010.Alawwain was the acting CEO. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from AAT University in India in 1978. He has worked in the company since graduating and has been in positions since then in Operations, Operations and Planning. He was appointed Assistant to the Director of the Refinery in 2003 and Then director of the refinery in Zarqa in 2005, the position he held before moving to the post of chief executive .He participated in the presentation of working papers for several local and international conferences in the field of energy and water. He also served as the deputy head of the engineers' council. He was also a member of the council of the union. He chaired several committees in the environment and energy in the Jordanian engineers union and the union of Arab engineers. International Gas Association
