H.e Jamal A. Al Sarayrah

Biography

 Chairman of the Board since June 2012, Jamal Al-Sarayrah has had a distinguished career in both the public and private sector. Mr. Al-Sarayrah served the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as its Minister of Transport and Minister of Post and Communication from 1991 to 2000.  In that capacity he served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of both the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission and Jordan Telecom.  As the Minister of Transport, Mr. Al-Sarayrah served as the Executive Director of various organizations, including the Aqaba Port Authority; several international trucking companies; the national railway and airline; the Arabic Bridge Company; and the Civil Aviation Authority.   He also served for eight years as a member of the Jordanian Parliament from 1989 to 1997, which also included a term as the First Deputy Speaker. Currently, he is a senior advisor for strategy and business development for Reliance Globalcom, a multi-billion dollar Indian telecommunications company.
