Omar Al Hurr

Biography

  Launched PIC’s manufacturing operations in 2000 and led the production department for six years. More than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in R&D, Production and GMP compliance. Omar was successful in the initiation and operation of new pharmaceutical facilities. He completed several start-up projects in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Russia, including several that have been certified by FDA and EMA, besides regional and local regulatory authorities. With a career at Hikma pharmaceuticals in Jordan in 1991, Omar worked as an R&D Pharmacist before moving to Production as a production supervisor a few years later in the general formulations plant. Soon after, he was promoted to manufacturing manager of the Penicillin/Cephalosporin plant. Before re-joining PIC, Omar joined Savvy Pharma as a Plant Director, supervising the restart of its research and small scale oral solid dosage forms plant. Omar holds a B.Sc. in Pharmacy from the University of Jordan
