Biography
Dr. Ayman Faza is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT). He earned his PhD and Master’s in Computer Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO, USA, in 2010 and 2007, respectively. His doctoral research area was in reliability modeling for Cyber Physical Systems, focusing on the reliability of the Smart Grid. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan, Amman, Jordan in 2003. He worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Missouri University of Science and Technology, specializing in Audio Signal Processing, and has also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at La Spienza University in Rome, focusing on Wireless Networks Technologies for Smart Grid implementations. His current research interests include Smart Grids, Renewable Energy Sources, Photo voltaics, and Reliability Modeling. Dr. Faza is a member of the IEEE. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program Fellowship, the Erasmus Mundus Exchange Scholarship for postdoctoral studies, and has also received two best paper awards for research papers.
