Biography

I received my PhD degree in May 2009 from the School of Information Technologies at the University of Sydney, Australia. Currently, I am working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, King Hussein School of Computing Sciences at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT). In 2009, I worked as a Postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, the University of New South Wales, Australia. I then worked at Cemagref Research Center in Clermont-Ferrand, France. From 2010 to 2012, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Information Systems Department, College of Computers and Information Technology, University of Tabuk, KSA. From 2012 to 2015, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Computer Information Systems Department, College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Dammam, KSA. I am a member of the Laboratory of Engineering for Complex Systems (LISC) research group. My research interests include data mining and knowledge discovery specifically in the area of spatial, spatiotemporal, time series applications, and Cloud Computing. The research I am currently conducting focuses on the development of machine-learning techniques for computing viability kernels in dynamical systems.
