Hani Aldmour

Biography

Professor Hani Al-Dmour is General Secretary for Higher Education and Scientific Research. He is currently working at Princess Sumaya University for Technology. His background is in International Marketing and his particular areas of research interest center on Export Marketing Behavior and Services Marketing. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Jordan in 1983, followed by a MBA degree from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1986. He gained his PhD degree in Export Marketing Behavior from the University of Sheffield, England, in 1993. In addition to being author of more than 70 scientific articles and 8 books, Professor Hani Al-Dmour is known as an expert in the fields of Marketing and quality management of higher education institutions. He served for 4 years as a member of the editorial board of the Jordan Journal of Business Administration, and for two years as a member of the editorial board of DIRSAT in the University of Jordan, as well as being a member of the Higher Education Accreditation Commission for six years. Before becoming the General Secretary for the Ministry of Higher Education, he was the President of the University of Jordan, Aqaba branch, and he was Vice President for the Faculty of Humanities between 2012 and 2014. Prof. Al-Dmour also served as Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies (2005-2008) and Dean of the Faculty of Business at the University of Jordan for two years. In addition to his vast teaching experience, Prof. Al-Dmour acts as a consultant to several international organizations and national institutions, and is the author of eight books on Marketing. He is also a Laureate of the 1999 Abdul-Hameed Shoman Prize for Young Arab Scientists. He is often invited to participate in scientific conferences pertaining to Arab commerce and economics in Jordan and abroad. In addition, he is frequently consulted by several research centers about marketing and he is also a member of a number of committees about business administration at reputable Jordanian and international universities.
