Biography

Prof. Mahmoud Ali Qudah holds a PhD in English and Civilization from Michigan State University (1986). He earned his Master’s in Linguistics and English Teaching from Leeds University, United Kingdom, in 1984, after getting a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Yarmouk University, 1980. During his career, Prof. Qudah has served as vice president, dean, and chairperson, as well as acting as a consultant in higher education, and to the UN. His interest in international politics and world civilization has led him to get involved with various fields. Prof. Qudah is a member of the Jordanian alumni for graduates of US Universities, as well as of TESOL, MSU alumni, the Association of Professors of English and Translation at Arab Universities (APETAU). His personal interests include traveling, meeting people, attending seminars, reading, sports, and helping the poor. Prof. Mahmoud Qudah has received many honors and awards, as follows: Listed in Who’s Who in American Education, 1999; Fulbright Scholar, 2001; American-Asian Who’s who, 2003; Great Minds of the 21st Century, 2003; Biography International, 2003; Who's Who the AEAB World, 2004; Biography International, 2004; Man of Achievement for 2005; Afro-Asian Who's Who, 2006; Man of the Year, 2006; Biography at "Great Minds of the 21st Century", 2006; Biography at "Asian Admirable Achievers", 2006; Man of the Year, 2007; 2007 President's Citation; Asia/Pacific Who's Who, 2007; Selected as a "Charter Member" at the "Leading Intellectuals of the World", 2007; Biography at "Order of International Merit", 2008.
