Biography
Dr. Rami A. Wahsheh is an assistant professor in the Communications Engineering Department at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Amman, Jordan. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1996 from Mutah University in Karak, Jordan, a master’s degree in electrical engineering in 2002 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Alabama, USA, and a PhD in microsystems engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York, USA. His research work resulted in 17 publications. Due to achieving the highest GPA of the 1996 class among all majors at the Mutah University, Dr. Rami Wahsheh received the most honored university prizes which the late King Hussein of Jordan gave to him in person. His Majesty awarded him four royal prizes: 1) an honors sword, 2) a royal watch, 3) King Hussein’s royal medal of first degree, and 4) a royal pistol. In 2006, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to study PhD at RIT. Dr. Rami Wahsheh also has 10 years of work experience in optical and wireless communications networks at the police communications department in Amman, Jordan. He is a retired colonel from the Police Communications Department. He retired in September, 2017 after serving for about 26 years.
