Queen Street Physiotherapy

Having played sport at an elite level, Phill has sustained his share of sporting injuries and has been on the other side of physiotherapy rehabilitation programs. Seeing how treatment influenced his life was the beginning of a passion for physiotherapy and sports related injuries, and his motivation to start his own business in Brisbane City. Phill now enjoys mentoring and supporting his team of physiotherapist’s, whilst still taking time to provide treatment for his clients. Phill holds a Bachelor in Sports Science and a Bachelor in Exercise Science. He has also completed a Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy. He is an accredited Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Physiotherapist and a member of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports Physiotherapy Australia. Phill’s sporting background and educational focus on exercise and sports science gives him unique insight into effective treatment. This also helps Phill to prescribe comprehensive exercise programs to aid a speedy recovery. Phill also has a strong interest in the treatment of workplace related injuries, which often present themselves in the form of back, shoulder and neck pain. Phill’s focus is to not only directly treat the injury, but to also work with the patient to develop appropriate workplace strategies and exercises to prevent the reoccurrence of these injuries. In the past, Phill has competed in both national and international hockey. He has played for Queensland in a variety of teams and for the Canberra Lakers representing Australia in the National Hockey League. Currently, Phill enjoys dog sledding with his two Siberian Huskies, Flash and Sonic. He enjoys training regularly with his dogs, and often competes at Mt Hotham and Falls Creek in Victoria. Fitness is an important aspect of Phill’s life, so to keep fit he also enjoys CrossFit Training and running.
