Steve Verhaaren

Biography

 A native of Utah, Steve graduated from the University of Utah’s Division of Physical Therapy in 1994. Steve immediately began working for RPT and it has been the ideal place for him to have a rewarding career doing what he loves: helping people meet their goals through physical therapy. He has served on the Board of Directors for RPT since 1995 and in 1998 he became the Clinic Director of the Sandy office. Shortly thereafter, he started RPT’s Industrial and Workplace Safety program. Steve originally earned his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation (OCS) from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2006 and re-certified in 2015. In 2014, Steve was asked to serve as the physical therapy representative on the Medical Advisory Committee for the State of Utah Labor Commission. Steve is an owner/partner of RPT, serving as its Chief Operations Officer from 2010 -2015. In 2015, Steve became the President and CEO of RPT. He is very excited about the future of the company and is proud of RPT and its employees winning “Best of State” awards in 2015 and 2016. In addition to orthopedic care, his professional interests include sports medicine. He enjoys working with all athletes and has volunteered sports medicine coverage at local high schools since 1994. He has truly enjoyed his association with the athletes and their families through the years. Steve speaks Spanish fluently and enjoys time with his family, cycling, fly fishing, boating, water sports, and other outdoor activities.
