A Dunayev

Biography

Mr. Arman Dunayev is a holder of PhD in Economics. He has an extensive experience in public and private institutions and in the financial market. He graduated from the Kazakh State University n.a. S.M. Kirov with major in Political Economics (1988) and has the doctoral degree from the Moscow State University n.a. M.V. Lomonosov (1991). He started his career in public sector in 1992 as the chief specialist, Head of Foreign Economic Relations Unit of the Administrative Office of the Head of Shymkent Regional Administration. In 1993 he held various positions in the Astana-Holding starting from the position of chief specialist of the financial unit with further promotion to the Head of Investment Programs Division. In 1998 he was invited to Bank Turan Alem (BTA) for the position of the Head of Investment and International Programs Division. In 2000 he supervised the International Financial Institutions Division of BTA. In 2000 Mr. Dunayev continued his career in the public sector in the position of the Acting Director of the Public Debt and Lending Department of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan. Further on he was the Director of the Public Borrowings Department (2000–2001), Vice-Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan (2001–2002). In 2002 he was the Vice-Minister of Economic Affairs and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan. In 2003 he was elected as CEO of the National Innovation Fund
