Biography
Baizhanov was born on August 9, 1958 in Almaty. He graduated from the Kazakh State University n.a. S. Kirov in 1980 with degree in Law. Mr. Baizhanov has held various managerial positions in the public sector and national companies in Kazakhstan for more than 25 years. During in 1991-1995 Mr. Baizhanov headed the Almaty City Justice Department, and was a member of the board of the Ministry of Justice. In 1997-1999 he was a Vice-President of the JSC Kazakhtelecom, and in 1999-2002 he held a position of the Vice-Minister of the State Income Ministry. Since 2003 Mr. Baizhanov held a number of positions in the oil and gas sector, namely he was the President of JSC KazMunayGasConsulting (2003-2005), the Head of the President's Board at the JSC NC KazMunayGas (2005-2007), the Vice-President of JSC NC KazMunayGas supervising business and legal issues (2007-2008).
