Biography
Minh Nguyen is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at School of Engineering of Nazarbayev University. Originally from Vietnam, Minh arrived in Nazarbayev University in August 2012 after spending ten years studying and working in different countries in Asia and Europe. Before coming to Nazarbayev University, Minh was a postdoc research fellow and a teaching fellow at University College London in the United Kingdom after he had completed his PhD study from Saitama University in Japan in 2008.
Research Interest
His research interest in Constitutive modeling, discrete element and finite element modeling of soil/rock behaviors, Study of soil mixture behavior in static and earthquake loading conditions, Fibre-reinforced soils and Petroleum geomechanics, experimental and simulation studies of sand production and wellbore instability.
