Biography
Prof. Konstantinos Kostas joined the dept. of Mechanical Engineering of Nazarbayev University in the summer of 2015. He hold a diploma of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. His Ph.D. in engineering is from the same institution. He have previously worked as a Research Associate in the school of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering in the National Technical University, as a lecturer in the dept. of Naval Architecture, Technological & Education Institute of Athens and for the last year, before joining, served as an Assistant Professor at the Technological & Education Institute of Athens. He have actively participated in more than 18 EU and national funded research projects and he act as reviewer for several CAD/CAGD and Naval Architecture & marine Engineering journals.
Research Interest
Research interests in Parametric Geometrical Modeling, Application of the IsoGeometric concept in design, Computer Graphics & Virtual Environments for Engineering, Reverse engineering & Topology Reconstruction and 3d printing technology.
