Biography

 Jiri Urbanec has been holding the Position of SANTO CEO since October 1st, 2015. Jiri graduated from Technical University in Ostrava, Czech Republic. He has Master of Business Administration (MBA) of Liverpool John Moores University. He also graduated from postgraduate study in International Bilateral Management of Technical University in Brno, Czech Republic and University of M. Kopernik in Torun, Poland. Before SANTO in different years Jiri Urbanec worked at several international pharmaceutical companies such as Galena (Czech Republic), Ivax (USA) and Teva (Israel). Moreover, for five years he lived in Moscow leading the company office in Russia, opening offices in Eastern Europe, Balkans and Central Asia. Jiri Urbanec is rightfully considered a leader in break ground within pharmaceutical world. In his successful professional life quite a number of crucial events took place. For example, in 1999 at IVAX Russian Operations Mr. Urbanec expanded the representative coverage of the company for Tallinn, Kiev, Riga, Zagreb, Sofia, Bucharest, Vilnius, Tashkent and Almaty. In four years he effectively achieved profit rise for the company in five-fold and increased its headcount from 40 to 250 ca employees. In 2011 in Czech Republic in a recordly short period of time under Jiri management one of the largest plant in the world Mega Plant has been constructed and commissioned at 12bln solid dosages for USA market. His production operation and commercial experience is a chance of a lifetime for pharmaceutical market. Professional life of Jiri is long and exciting journey full of challenges, aspirations and attainments. For his professionalism and dedication in 2010 Mr. Urbanec won Best Manager Cup in Czech Republic from 200 candidates who had applied for the awarding.
