Dr Eric Masika

Biography

Eric read BSc with major in Chemistry at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), followed by Postgraduate Diploma in Education at Moi University, conducting a final year project in the field of subject methods under the supervision of Prof. J. Agak. Eric progressed to study an MSc Nanoscience at the University of Nottingham undertaking a project under the supervision of Prof Martyn Poliakoff, FRS, CBE. Eric began his PhD studies at the University of Nottingham under supervision of Prof Robert Mokaya. During this time, his research concerned the probing optimal parameters for design, synthesis and characterise novel inorganic and carbonaceous at a nanometre (10-9 m) scale materials and study their structure-properties-applications relations. In September 2012, Eric conducted a postdoctoral research in the same group. In December 2013, Eric relocated to Kenyatta University upon appointment to the position of Lectureship/Researcher
