Dr. Mildred Lodiaga
Gender and Development Studies
Dr. Lodiaga is currently the Chairperson of the Department of Gender and Development Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Kenyatta University, Kenya. She obtained her doctoral degree in Gender and Population Studies from Kenyatta University, Department of Geography. Dr. Lodiaga did her Masters in Population (M.A) Studies at the U.N. Regional Institute for Population Studies, University of Ghana –Legon. She got her first degree (B.A (Ed), (Sociology, History and Education) from the University of Nairobi. Within the University she has been appointed to be a member of different University committees and boards such as Mentoring Programme and Institute of Peace and Security as board member..Dr. Lodiaga has also been appointed by the Ministry of Education as a chairperson of different Board of Management in a number of Schools in Kenya. Currently she is chairing University Planning Committee for the Being a Leader Training Workshop scheduled to take place at Kenyatta University in 2018. Her areas of Specialization include: G
