After graduating with a Bachelors degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Nairobi in November 1998, Dr. Kavoi registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board and began private clinical practice in Machakos and Makueni Counties in Kenya. He at the same time served as a teacher (Chemistry & Biology) in Masii S.D.A Secondary School in Machakos County.
