Biography
Dr Stephen Mbithi Mwikya (45), Ph.D, is the Chief Executive Officer of the horticulture industry in Kenya (Fresh Produce Exporters Association of Kenya (FPEAK). This is a membership organization (about 150 companies) of horticultural industry which is involved in production and export of fruits, vegetables and flowers. Exports from Kenya horticulture are currently valued at about 1.03 billion US$ (2008-12) from sale of about 400,000MT. The sector supports 4.5 million people directly and indirectly.
