005 - 2006: Obtained a research grant from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to conduct research on "Optimizing Colony Reproduction Procedures for the Mass Rearing of Male Anopheles arabiensis Mosquitoes". Award amount, US$ 7,200. 2004 - 2005: Obtained a research grant from the Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) to conduct research on "Development of a Mosquito Surveillance System for Rapid Assessment of Malaria Risk and Epidemiology". Award amount, US$ 7,000. 2003 - 2005: Sub-contracted by Office of Population Research, Princeton University, New Jersey, USA, to carry out research on "Community empowerment for malaria control in Africa". Prime donor: USA National Institutes of Health (NIH) - Health, Education & Economic Development (HEED) program. Award amount, US$ 60,000. 2001:Received US$ 10,000 from the UNDP/World Bank/WHO Special Programme for Research & Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), Research Training Grants (RTG) section.
