Biography
After graduating from the University of Nairobi, with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1973, I joined the Ministry of Agriculture as a Research Officer responsible for dairy and beef cattle nutrition research. I was promoted to a Senior Research Officer in 1978 and in 1979; I proceeded to Cornell University for a PhD study in Animal Science. After returning to Kenya in 1983, I worked at the then National Animal Husbandry Research Station, Naivasha in charge of Dairy and Poultry research. In 1984 I joined the University of Nairobi as a lecturer in the Department of Animal Production.
