Biography

 Asia-Pacific society of Thyroid Surgery (APTS) was established in 2014 by the gathering of renowned specialist on thyroid surgery in Asia-Pacific region. I will never forget that Korean members contributed a lot when this society was founded. The purpose of APTS is to provide a common platform for specialists on thyroid surgery to promote the art of thyroid surgery and friendship. Membership of APTS is open to any clinicians and scientists who are interested in the field of thyroid surgery regardless of their specialties. We have to work together on facing various issues, discuss on how to solve a wide range of problems from medical, surgical and many other aspects. We sincerely hope that APTS will play a central role to spread out current and updated information from Asia-Pacific to the whole world.   The 1st congress of APTS was held in Seoul, Korea in November 2015 with a great success having left wonderful memories in all attendees. The Congress was to bring all members together to share their knowledge, experience and insightful ideas. Following the great success of the 1st congress, the 2nd congress of APTS will be held in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. On behalf of APTS, it is our great pleasure and honor to invite all of you to the 2nd Congress of APTS. This meeting will be held in Loisir Hotel Naha, from November 1st to 3rd, 2017. I hope we can meet again in Okinawa and share our friendship and updated knowledge.   Finally, alongside the members of APTS, I will try my best to develop this society as a center of thyroid surgery. Please join us to advance thyroid surgery and improve health related to thyroid disease in the Asia-Pacific region. I look forward to your whole-hearted support and participation towards achieving this goal.
