Biography
Kyung-Chul Yoon, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Ophthalmology, Chonnam National University Medical School, Gwangju, Korea. He completed a residency at the Chonnam National University Hospital and a fellowship at the Keio University School of Medicine, Japan in 2004 and the Cullen Eye Institute of the Balyor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, USA in 2006-2007. Dr. Yoon specializes in external eye diseases and cataract, and his main research fields include tear film and ocular surface disorders, especially dry eye disease. He has 80 international publications and a member of the Cornea Society, Asia Cornea Society, and Asia Dry Eye Advisory Board.
