Biography

"David is a senior lecturer with the Strategy, Management & Organization department at the Nanyang Business School (NBS). He teaches business communication strategy and management, and negotiation and persuasion techniques at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Prior to joining NBS, David was a senior strategy consultant and business analyst, providing customized and focused strategic and tactical advice for companies looking to grow and expand in the Asia-Pacific region. David has advised more than fifty Fortune 500 companies across various sectors, especially in the ICT, manufacturing, finance, and government sectors. His proven expertise with more than two hundred successful projects under his belt ranges from opportunity analyses for market entry and expansion, to sales and marketing consultancy, and partner evaluation and selection. He plans and manages methodologies and analyses in all areas of business consulting and research, from project design to strategy recommendations. David's industry analyses are featured frequently in the media, and he is also a regular speaker at conferences across the region. Besides heading the Asia-Pacific operations of a New York-based analyst firm, David was a partner at a strategy consulting firm, where he successfully set up, developed and grew its practices across Asia-Pacific and Japan. Some of his earlier working experiences included leading the Asia-Pacific analyst team at a Boston-based analyst firm, running a start-up strategy consulting and research business in Singapore, and consulting for one of Northern Europe's largest multinational firms in Copenhagen. David holds a MBA from the Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, Australia. He also topped his BA degree course with distinction."
