Biography
Professor Il Han Kim has been a Professor since 1987 in Department of Radiation Oncology, Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH). His clinical specialties are radiotherapy of the tumors in the central and peripheral neurologic systems, sarcomas, childhood tumors, hematologic tumors, skin cancers, and benign tumors as well as proliferative disorders. His research lab in the Cancer Research Institute has focused on radiation response modification by chemical combination. He firstly proved rehypoxiation phenomena in an animal tumors and its exact mirroring of reoxygenation during his fellowship in Stanford University. He served as the Chair of the Board of the Korean Society for Radiation Oncology (2009-2011).
