Abdul Aziz Sultan

Biography

 Dr. Sultan has been President of KEO International Consultants since 1992 and is also an owner. He has had a long and distinguished career as a practicing professional gaining great respect in the fields of civil engineering, project management, contract law, and as an expert witness. He joined KEO in 1971 as Chief Engineer, went on to become Deputy Managing Director in 1977, then Managing Director in 1983.  Dr. Sultan has helped elevate the stature of the entire professional consulting industry in the region. His contributions extend to participation in numerous boards and committees including Member, Board of Directors – Kuwait National Petroleum Corporation (1972-1975), Chairman of the Board of Directors - Gulf Bank (1989- 1992), Member, Council of Graduate Studies, University of Kuwait. Dr. Sultan is also the Chairman of Sultan Educational Foundation which provides financial support to students attending universities and colleges.  Dr. Sultan is a regular contributing editorial writer in the media. He retains active membership in various professional associations including the American Concrete Institute (ACI) - elected Man of the Year for 2004, the American Society of Engineers (ASE), the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), the American Management Association and the Pre-Stressed Concrete Institute.  Dr. Sultan holds Bachelor of Science, Master and PhD. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA.
