Biography
Yury Zammit, is a geographer, environmental resources manager and traffic safety / impact assessor with experience in geographic information systems (GIS), land use planning, environmental impact assessment, transport impact assessment and road safety audits, climate change and website development and maintenance. He has been working with Adi Associates Environmental Consultants Ltd since 2005 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation. Yury is responsible for all GIS mapping within the company, assists in EIA’s, prepares Project Description Statements, carries out Road Safety Audits, and co-ordinates the majority of data collection surveys. He has extensive experience in transport assessments and contributed to a wide range of studies for various major development projects that include schools, industrial sites, waste management facilities, mixed-use developments, high rise development, petrol stations, homes of the elderly, offices, and hotels. His roles include the coordination of data collection, data analysis, trip generation estimates, traffic junction design, modelling and analysis (using AutoTurn / PICADY / ARCADY / TRANSYT), using applying our dynamic parking model, road / pedestrian safety audits, green travel plans, and reporting. He has also experience in environmental baseline reporting for SEAs, noise surveys, land contamination studies, site selection exercises, environmental permit applications, planning applications review, resident parking schemes, and hotel eco-auditing.
