Biography

Maxillofacial surgeon in the Institute of Stomatology of Riga Stradiņš University, head of the clinic. Member of the Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons of Latvia, Latvian Dental Association, Baltic Association for Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery, International Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons, European Association of Craniofacial Surgery, The Royal College of Edinburgh. Author of many scientific publications. In 1995 in the Medical Academy of Latvia acquired the Degree of Medical Doctor. In 1999 acquired the Degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in the Medical Academy of Latvia. In 2000 acquired the certificate of maxillofacial surgeon. Additionally from 1995 to 2000 studied Residency of Maxillofacial Surgery in the Medical Academy of Latvia. In 2005 passed the MRCSEd exam of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2007 obtained interuniversity certificate of masters within the programme Biomaterials and Biomechanics. Regularly participates in seminars and courses to improve qualification, also regular lecturer in international and local conferences.
