Biography

More than 40 years of work experience in dentistry! Till 2009 docent in the Department of Therapeutic Stomatology of the Faculty of Dentistry of Riga Stradiņš University. Authority respected by students and doctors in Latvian dentistry. Lecturer in scientific conferences in Latvia and abroad. Author of many publications. From 1965 to 1970 studied in the Faculty of Dentistry of Riga Medical Institute. From 1970 to 1972 resident in the Department of Therapeutic Stomatology of Riga Medical Institute. From 1972 to 1980 scientific co-worker in the scientific laboratory of Riga Medical Institute. In 1979 defended the dissertation of scientific candidate Clinical Signs and Treatment of Dental Enamel Demineralisation in Children in the Moscow Central Scientific Institute of Dentistry. From 1980 to 1985 assistant at the Faculty of Improvement of Qualification of Doctors and Pharmacists. Since 1980 lecturer of postgraduate studies in the pathology and materials of dense tissue. From 1980 to 1986 lecturer in the Faculty of Improvement of Qualification of Doctors and Pharmacists in postgraduate courses Pathology of Dense Tissue of Teeth, Diseases of Oral Mucosa, Prophylaxis of Caries. Since 1986 docent in the Department of Therapeutic Stomatology of the Faculty of Dentistry of Riga Stradiņš University, manager of the programme Pathology of the Dense Tissue of Teeth. In 1993 for six months guest-scientist in the Department of Oral Pathology of the University of Umeå. From 1994 to 1998 manager of the Residency of General Dentistry.
