Biography

" Dr. Zuhayr Tabbarah received his MD from the American University of Beirut and completed his residencyin Internal Medicine at Rutgers Medical School, New Jersey and then his felowship in Infectious Diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Tabbarah is a Clinical Assoiciate Professor of Medicine at the American University of Beirut and is the Chief Executive Medical Officer at Rafik Hariri University Hospital, among other titles Dr. Tabbarah is a Medical Examiner for the Arab Board of Internal medicine since 1996. He is a Founding member and Vice-president of East Mediterranean Network Of Sexually Transmitted Infections Control (EMNOSTIC)- Tunis since 2006. Dr. Tabbarah has been a member in several councils, committees and societies. Dr. Tabbarah has published and reviewed many articles in peer reviewed journals and participated in many regional and international conferences. His incessant efforts led him to organize the establishment of Clinical Research Unit at Rafik Hariri University Hospital in June 2008. At present, he has an active role in many clinical research studies and is the principle investigator for several international studies, focusing on his particular interests in Infectious Diseases; CUTI, CIAI, Influenza, MRSA Invasive Fungal Diseases, Candida Infections and other Clinical Researches."
