Biography
Dr. Boulos H. B. Doany, also known as Paul, has been Chief Executive Officer and General Manager at Türk Telekomünikasyon A.S. since September 29, 2016. Dr. Doany served as Chairman and Director General of Türk Telekomünikasyon A.S. He served as the Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director and Executive Director of Oger Telecom Limited from 2002 to June 2011. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Türk Telekomünikasyon A.S. until August 2010. He served as Managing Director in charge of telecommunications activities of the UK offices of Dar Al-Handasah. Dr. Doany has over 25 years of experience managing projects in the telecommunications industry. He led preparations for Oger Telecom in countries including South Africa, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria and Pakistan. Dr. Doany serves as the Chairman of TIMAR Ventures. He serves as the Chairman of Argela, Innova, IES and TTNet, the wholly owned subsidiaries of Türk Telekom. He serves as Director of AssisTT, Avea and GSM operator. He serves as a Director of 3C Telecommunications (Pty) Limited. He served as a Director of Türk Telekomünikasyon A.S. since November 2005. He served as a Director of Avea Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. He served as an Executive Director of Oger Telecom Limited until June 2011. Dr. Doany holds a Ph.D in Communications Engineering from the University of Manchester in 1981, an M.Sc. in Digital Electronics & Communications from the University of Bradford in 1978 and a B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut in 1977.
