Mr. Joseph J. Romano, also known as Joe, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President at ZZ Biotech, LLC. Mr. Romano serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Olympic Energy Partners. He serves as Vice President of Laetitia Vineyard & Winery. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Zilkha Biomass Energy, LLC. Mr. Romano served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Contango Oil & Gas Company from November 2012 to October 1, 2013. He has worked with the Zilkhas in the energy industry since 1989. He was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Zilkha Renewable Energy and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Zilkha Energy Company. Mr. Romano served as Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Controller of Texas International Company from 1986 to 1988 and as its Treasurer and Controller from 1982 to 1985. Prior to 1982, he spent five years working in the Worldwide Energy Group of the First National Bank of Chicago. He has been the Chairman of Contango Oil & Gas Company since April 22, 2013 and its Independent Director of Contango Oil & Gas Company since November 2012. Mr. Romano serves on the Board of Managers of Socratech and ZZ Alztech. He serves as Director of Zilkha Biomass Energy, LLC He is a director of Laetitia Vineyard & Winery. He earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire and an M.B.A. from the University of Northern Illinois.
