Biography
Ms. Marcea Bland Lloyd has been the Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Vice President of Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc since July 2011 and General Counsel since February 06, 2007. Ms. Lloyd served as Senior Vice President of Government & Corporate Affairs and General Counsel of Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc., since June 2008 and February 6, 2007 respectively. Ms. Lloyd served as a Senior Vice President of Legal & Corporate Affairs at Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc., since February 6, 2007. She served as Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel of Vha Inc., until January 2007 and also served as its Group Senior Vice President and Secretary. She held overall responsibility for all legal matters related to VHA and its businesses, and provides legal advice to VHA's senior management, board of directors and business units, guides corporate communications activities key external and internal audiences and leads VHA's People Strategies team. She came to VHA in 1999 after worked for 21 years for Minneapolis-based Medtronic Inc., a leading global health care device manufacturer. She served since 1991 as Assistant General Counsel, earning a promotion to Vice President in 1993. In this position, she provided legal services for Medtronic's business services group, including the cardiac rhythm management, cardiac surgery, neurological and vascular businesses.
