Ilona Bučiūnienė

Biography

Professor Ilona BučiÅ«nienÄ— is the Dean of PhD Studies and the Chairman of the Doctoral Committee at ISM University of Management and Economics. Previously she held HRM Programme Director’s position at ISM Executive School. She earned her PhD from Kaunas University of Technology and Vytautas Magnus University. She is an expert at the Research Council of Lithuania and at the Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education of Lithuania and is a member of EFMD Doctoral Programmes Conference Steering committee. Prof. BučiÅ«nienÄ— teaches Human resource management at ISM Executive School and Social Research methodology for doctoral students. Her research areas are HRM, responsible HRM and leadership, aging, HRM- employee attitudes - performance linkage in business, public and health care sectors. Prof. BučiÅ«nienÄ— serves as the Ambassador for Lithuania at the Academy of Management HR Division's Ambassadors Program. Her research has been published in scholarly journals such as Journal of Vocational Behavior, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Employee Relations, Baltic Journal of Management, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion: an International Journal, BMC Health Services Research, BMC Public Health, BMC Family Practice and others. She is an author and a co-author of the case studies and edited books published by Routledge, Palgrave Macmillan and other publishers. She was (in 2010-2013) the Editor of Personnel Management Directory for HR professionals, published by the Lithuanian business newspaper Business News. She has led and has been involved in research projects founded by European Union, Fondation Robert Shuman, Lithuanian Research Council, and others. She participates in international research initiatives and networks, represents Lithuania in CRANET network on International Human Resource.
