Biography
Lilija has worked as a lecturer at Vilnius University and a language teacher at the State Institutions' Language Center and has been in charge of EU international projects aimed at developing teaching materials for teaching English for a special language. Some of these projects are Linguapeace Europe for peacekeeping personnel, and URLASE for railroad workers. In 2004-2006, Lilija Vilkanciene, as a lecturer, participated in British Council projects on Human Rights Education in Lithuania and the Integrated Subject and Language Training (CLIL). In 2007-2012, she taught at the NILE Summer Courses at Norwich Language Institute in the UK, where she taught the Integrated Course and Language Learning (CLIL) methodology. 2011-2012 headed the project of the Integrated Language and Subject Education Development in Lithuania at the Vilnius University Institute of Foreign Languages.
