1972 – Graduated from Vilnius University, acquired therapeutic physician’s degree and accomplished sub-residency of obstetrics-gynaecology, Lithuania 1982 – Defended the Doctor of Medicine (MD) dissertation 1972–1985 – Assistant at the Obstetrics-Gynaecology Department of Vilnius University 1985–1990 – Assit.
