Biography

Dr. Roland Andersson, is Senior Vice President, Clinical Research Services.  Within CRS, he manages and develops PAREXEL’s client relationships, including strategic accounts and key accounts. Dr. Andersson has extensive experience leading and transforming businesses within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, with primary expertise in Research and Development (R&D) management, transformation, strategy, and business development.  Prior to joining PAREXEL, he was Managing Director at Accenture, where he oversaw technology, consulting and business services for leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies.  While at Accenture, he played a pivotal role in the creation of the industry group TransCelerate, which aligns 18 of the world’s best-known biopharmaceutical companies to address common drug development problems. Earlier, Dr. Andersson served as Senior Managing Director of Leerink Swann Strategic Advisors, where he built the group to become a major part of Leerink Swann, a life science-focused investment bank.  Prior to this, he held positions as Senior Partner at Strategic Decisions Group and Global Practice Leader for Arthur D. Little Inc.  He began his career with Pharmacia Corporation, where he held management positions in Development, R&D and Quality Assurance.
