Biography

1978 Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, a pediatrician, worked as an anaesthesiologist of children in a reanimatologist and a pediatric intensive care physician at KlaipÄ—da Children's Hospital, Vilnius University Hospital, where he headed the intensive care unit for children. Since 2008 Head of the Center for Intensive Care and Anesthesiology of Children's Hospital of Vilnius University. He has repeatedly trained in postgraduate pediatric intensive care pediatricians in Europe at the Bern Children's Hospital (Switzerland), in the world and European congresses for pediatric intensive careers in Montreal, Geneva, Athens, the children's toxicology knowledge has improved the Nordic Pootsiology toxicology course in Oslo (Norway), acute Childhood metabolic diseases caused by the diagnosis and treatment of conditions in Barcelona, ​​Warsaw, Lisbon, San Diege. 2000 He defended a biomedical doctoral dissertation on the topic "Aid Algorithms for Children with Prehepatic Port Hypertension". Heal, counsel and constantly monitor children of all ages with hypertension. On this subject, he has published 8 scientific papers, published methodological recommendations, reports at the Lithuanian and international conferences, receiving the Vilnius Medical Association's annual scientific work award. Has published more than 40 scientific papers, together with his colleagues, he has written 7 textbooks and practical manuals for doctors and medical students. He is actively involved in the development of physicians in children's toxicology, emergency care and intensive care.  Sharing experience and advice in various popular periodicals about child poisoning and other emergency situations requiring emergency care. Chairwoman of the Lithuanian Children's Reanimation and Intensive Care Doctors Society, Ministry of Health, intensive care specialist, consultant.

Research areas and areas of professional interest:intensive care for children (resuscitation, severe sepsis and sepsis shock, diabetic ketoacidosis), childhood toxicology, childhood otitis exertion, children's emergency care.
