Education and occupation 1980–graduated from Vilnius University, Faculty of Chemistry, chemist-lecturer. Scientific degrees and titles 2000–Vilnius University and Institute of Chemistry, Doctor of Physical sciences. Professional experience 1980–2000 – engineer, junior research assistant (Institute of Chemistry). 2001–2011 – scientific researcher (Institute of Chemistry, Department of Ecological Chemistry). 2003–2004 – lector, Vilnius Pedagogical University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Chemistry. 2004–2011 – Position of Assoc. Professor, Vilnius Pedagogical University, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Department of Chemistry. 2009 – Diploma and pedagogical title of Docent, VPU. 2011–2012 – Position of Assoc. Professor, Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences; Faculty of Natural Sciences,Department of Chemistry and technological education. 2011–2013 – scientific researcher (Institute of Chemistry of Center for Physical Sciences and Technology). Research Interest

Physical sciences, Chemistry. Chemistry of surfaces and interfaces. Investigation of physical, chemical and adsorptive properties of various sorbents. Investigation of the kinetics and equilibrium of adsorption and ion exchange. Treatment of wastewater using adsorption and ion exchange.
