Biography
Abhishek qualified as a pharmacist in 1998 in India. He graduated with a B.Sc degree in Biochemistry in 2001 and completed an MSc in 2004. Abhishek qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) in 2003. He was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2004 by the University Grant Commission (UGC), India. Following this, Abhishek became a Researcher at the University of Wolverhampton where he gained an MPhil in 2008. After working as a Visiting Lecturer at the University for nearly 3 years, he is now employed as a full-time Teaching Associate in the School of Pharmacy.Abhishek completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education and is a fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Research Interest
Abhishek is currently working on the development of biosynthetic hydrogels for wound dressing applications. His research interest extends to the authenticity of third level fingerprint features in personal identification, etiology of minor crimes and document examination.
