Biography
Doctor of biomedical sciences, associate professor at the Clinic of Children's Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University 1994 He graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, specializing in pediatrics, in 1996. Graduated from the Vilnius University Children's Diseases Residency, in 2002. - Vilnius University Children's Neuroscience Specialty Residency. 2006 He defended his biomedical doctoral dissertation "Peculiarities of the excretion of magnesium, sodium and chloride in patients with epilepsy in the urine (gender and treatment of valproate in pre-clinical and clinical studies)". Since 2002 He works as a pediatric neurologist at the Children's Hospital. Since 2005 teaches at the Clinic of Children's Diseases at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Vilnius, is responsible for the education of children in the specialty of children's neurology, is the head of children's neurology specialty residences, and leads the network of research activities of the Pediatrician Students. Reads reports at Lithuanian and international scientific conferences, organizes and conducts the courses of improvement of Lithuanian doctors at Vilnius University "Actual issues in children's neurology", "Children's Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders", children's neurological conferences. He raised qualifications in children's epilepsy courses in Munich, Germany, Kiel (Germany), Granovollene (Norway), Eilat (Israel), Brno (Czech Republic), children's neurological training courses in Salzburg (Austria), Milan (Italy), Vilnius University, doctors at the Kaunas University of Medicine refresher courses, various Lithuanian and international scientific-practical conferences. There are members of the Lithuanian Neurology, Lithuanian Children's Neurologists, Lithuanian Epileptologists, Lithuanian Pediatric Associations, member of the Lithuanian Children's Neurology and Lithuanian Society of Epileptology.
Research Interest
children's neurology, especially epilepsy in infants, children and adolescents, non-epileptic seizures, treatment of epilepsy, gender differences, infectious and immune diseases of the nervous system, childhood development disorders, nervous and muscular diseases, rare neurological diseases. Lets botulinum toxin in children with cerebral palsy.
