Biography

1972 Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Vilnius University Pediatrics, 1973 Sick Surgery Internship, 1985-1989 Studied at the Postgraduate Diploma of the Institute of Traumatology in Riga (Latvia). Since 1989 Head of Pediatric Traumatology Department, Children's Ortopeia-Traumatology Center, VU Children's Hospital. Raised qualifications in Italy, Sweden, Poland, Denmark, Germany, Russia and other world clinics. He organized several symposiums of international and national importance in the field of treatment of various injuries and burns of children. 1990 He defended doctoral dissertation "Experimental burn and its treatment" at Riga Traumatology Institute. 1990 presented one invention and five rationalization proposals for burns treatments. Announced over 30 scientific publications on child burns and various medical treatment issues, is the co-author of Volume 5 of the book on Children's Diseases. 2004 He has obtained a license for plastic reconstruction surgery, is interested in various plastic surgery of children (contractions of ears, scars, facial expressions).

Research Interest

Areas of professional interest: new technologies in osteosynthesis of children's bones, arthroscopic operations, new plastic reconstructive operations of children.
