Biography

1997 At the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, he graduated from the General Residency of Children's Diseases, acquired a Pediatric Qualification, in 1998. - Children's hematology residency, acquired qualification of children's haematologist. He is currently working as Chief of the Department of Children's Oncology Center for Bone Marrow transplantation at the Children's Hospital. 2001 Graduated from the Charité University Clinic of the University of Humboldt, Berlin, in the Children's Bone Marrow Transplantation Department in order to implement children's haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in Lithuania. 2002-2003 The German Institute for Academic Exchanges provided a scholarship for doctoral studies at the University of Humboldt in Berlin and a trainee at the Charité University Clinic in the Children's Bone Marrow Transplantation Division in a clinical study entitled "Prognostic Significance of Chimerism after Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplantation in Children". 2006 German-Baltic associations have granted a scholarship to replicate research work in the same institution to supplement research data. 2004 participated in 18th bone marrow transplantation training organized by the European Hematology School and the European Bone Marrow Transplant Association, in 2004. and in 2007 - Children's Leukemias, Lymphomas and Histiocytosis organized by the Children's Hematology and Oncology Society of the Scandinavian countries. 2009 Eksternas defended the work of the field of biomedical sciences in medicine "Analysis of chimerism in separate cell populations after allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in children". 2014 Graduated from the Children's Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit at the Children's Hospital of the University of Cincinnati (USA) for the development of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in immunodeficiencies and hemofagocytic lymphohistiocytosis in Lithuania. 2015 participated in the immune deficiency school organized by the European Immunodeficiency Society. From 2015 Head of the Children's Oncology and Oncology Surgery Center of Excellence, from 2016 - Center for the Competence of Primary and Acquired Immunodeficiencies.

haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, immunodeficiency and haemophagocytic lymphohistocytosis, immunotherapy, childhood epidemiology.
