Biography

1990 Graduated from Vilnius University, Faculty of Medicine, acquired a pediatric specialty. 1994 Graduated from the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Vilnius University, acquired the specialty of a children's surgeon. 1998 received a child surgeon license, 2004 - an orthopedic traumatologist's license. Since 1994 works at the Children's Hospital since 2011 is in charge of the Children's Hospital Reception-Emergency Department. Continuously improving, raising qualifications in seminars, conferences, internships: 1997-2014 participated in 19th courses, internships and trainings organized by VU and KMU on topical orthopedic traumatology issues at ECDC international training. 2010 participated in the training of the Injuries Registry in Oslo, Norway, as well as in the international training courses "Injuries Registry Training" in Vilnius. Twice participated in emergency medical assistance courses organized by the Crisis Research Center. There is an active member of the Children Orthopedic Traumatologists Society, the chairman of the Audit Commission. He actively participated in public education programs on child traumatism and injury prevention: he worked at the Swedish and Vilnius Public Health Center's Joint Program "Prevention of Traumatic Behavior in Vilnius Schools" as well as in the Norwegian-Lithuanian Injury Registry program, which was used to create a Tursive Registry at the Children's Hospital. Participates in the curriculum of students of VU Faculty of Medicine and resident physicians.

Research Interest

Professional field of interest : Actual problems of children's traumatology (animal bites, head trauma of small children).
