Biography
Vytautas Jovaišas graduated from Vilnius University (VU) Faculty of Medicine in 1995. In 2000, he completed his VU general surgery residency and completed his thoracicsurgery residency in 2002. Since 2002, he has been working as a thoracic surgeon at the Center of Thoracic Surgery at the Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos (Santariskiu Klinikos). He has been the head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery of Center of Pulmonology and Allergology since 2006. Since 2013, he has also been working at the Department of Interventional Pulmonology and Respiratory Function Diagnostics at the Center for Pulmonology and Allergology at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos (Santariskiu Klinikos).
Research Interest
Vytautas Jovaišas deals with endoscopic bronchological work, including interventional bronchology.
