Biography

Mr. Daniel J. Sutherby, CPA, MSF, serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Sutherby served as the Chief Financial Officer of Iquum, Inc. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Abiomed Inc. from January 3, 2006 to September 30, 2008, Principal Accounting Officer from June 2006 to September 30, 2008 and served as its Treasurer until September 30, 2008. He has more than 22 years of management experience, including seven years in leadership positions at PerkinElmer, Inc. While at PerkinElmer, he served as Corporate Director of Global Accounting & Finance. He also served as Director of Global Finance for Abiomed Inc. 1 billion Life and Analytical Sciences Unit and recently, served as Corporate Vice President of Investor Relations, Corporate Communications and Risk Management. He has extensive experience in accounting and auditing practices, financial planning and analysis, SEC compliance and reporting, investor relations and communications, strategic business planning, mergers and acquisitions, and managing company growth.
