Biography
As a medical doctor specialized in pathology, Dr Antunes was appointed as Chief of IBBL’s Clinical Department in 2009. Since 2006 he also offers his expertise to a private medical practice in surgical pathology (histology and cytology), which is mostly focused on dermatopathology but also covers a range of other diseases. Prior to this, Dr Antunes was lecturing at the University Hospital of Nancy (France) for 10 years. Here, he not only taught surgical pathology and cytopathology but was also extensively involved in research projects such as the development of new methods for IHC and ISH or of preclinical animal models in neurooncology.
