Biography
am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Health Economics and Evidence Synthesis Research Unit (HEESRU) at the Luxembourg Institute of Health. I also hold an adjunct professor appointment at Trinity College Dublin in Ireland and provide methodological advice to the National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics in Ireland in their economic evaluation of new treatment options. I hold a PhD from the department of Statistics, Trinity College Dublin, for my research on Bayesian methods for evidence synthesis and decision making in Health Technology Assessments. I graduated in Mathematics from RWTH Aachen University in Germany. My research interests are Bayesian biostatistics, evidence synthesis, network meta-analysis models as well as the role of uncertainty in decision theory and multiple criteria decision analysis. More recently I am interested in personalised medicine and how it challenges existing methods of economic evaluations. I have worked on applications in various clinical areas including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple myeloma, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis C and rotavirus modelling
